Honestly, I was ambivalent about writing a newsletter this week in the wake of crazy Milton, the hurricane. Meanwhile it's beautiful here in New York. It’s literally the perfect fantasy autumn day, and then I turn on the news and see the nightmare that is Florida and I’m overwhelmed with guilt. It feels insensitive to write about nonsense when so many people are suffering. And then I remember that I have subscribers from all over the world and God knows what they might be enduring. I guess everyone is going through different problems, different worries, different suffering, and that’s when my OCD kicked in. I think about this and that and then my head starts spinning and then explodes and pops off my body, rolls down the hill and lands in a ditch, and I’m left with nothing! Now with my brain completely gone, I look over at my puppy and she cracks me up. My dog is so funny, she could have her own stand up special on Netflix. She’s so funny she could have her own sitcom. Holyshit! Light Bulb!! Maybe I should team up and write with my puppy? 🤯 I told you my head exploded, this isn't really me, just pieces of me writing this. Let me just grab my head, pop it back on, annnnd I’m back.

Now where were we?

Here are four “animal rescue” non-profits accepting donations to help with their animal rescue and relief efforts related to hurricanes Helene and Milton. If you can even donate five dollars to help the innocent animals traumatized by the storms, abandoned, lost and scared in the shelters:

JLO breaks her silence for Interview mag on split with Ben Affleck. Except she doesn't. For example she said, “You have to be complete, if you want something that's more complete. You have to be good on your own.”

I think I have a magnet that says that. So dumb. So impersonal. So not deep. So blah.

Speaking of bad interviews, Kjersti Flaa the journalist who almost quit over mean girl Blake Lively, has now annoyingly built a brand on calling out celebs, and she just revealed another ridiculous one. But this time the celeb sent her a long apology letter! And that celeb… Anne Hathaway. It was during the promotions for the Les Miz film. She interviewed everyone in the cast individually, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, etc. Kjersti sang her questions (cause it's a musical) and the celebs sang back their answers and laughed and had fun with it except… Anne Hathaway. The interview was so awkward and lasted three seconds, take a look here.

Thankfully she sent an apology email. She’s clearly no dummy and doesn't want to be canceled, and its actually nice to hear.🥰

Diddy’s trial date has been set for May 5, 2025. In the meanwhile he filed an appeal to let him out of jail now. Claiming he’s not a flight risk. Sure Jan! If they let him out, he’d walk out of prison, climb into his car, drive to the tarmac and board his private plane and take off to never be seen again. So no! Sit back down! 👿

The new season of SHARK TANK begins on October 18th. I LOVE Shark Tank. I live for Shark Tank! So excited for the premier except Mark Cuban my favorite Shark has left the show. Nooooooooo! He’s the one I would make a deal with. He's so smart and genuine. I love all the Sharks, I really do, even Mr. Wonderful but I really really love Mark. Now I guess I’ll have to pick my second choices Lori Grenier, she makes great deals, or Daymond John. Robert Herjavec, he is such a kind sweetie. And Barbara Corcoran, she’s a legend, but everytime someone comes into the Tank with a horrible idea, and I think no one is going to bite, Barbara chimes in with I’ll make you an offer? 😳 I'm really going to miss Mark. He always called out the bullshit and kept it real.

Republicans have accused Kamala Harris of not doing any interviews, press etc. Good news, they can all calm down. She’s been everywhere. Literally everywhere, Colbert, The View, Howard Stern, 60 Minutes, Call her Daddy. She visited North Carolina, she even called into the Weather Channel live on air during the Hurricane to help calm and make sure EVERYONE knows help and money is there, never once mentioning the crowd sizes at her events. Imagine that? She spoke about the country and not herself. And Ron DeSantis dispelled hurricane conspiracy theories and said, Biden has helped consistently with relief and preparedness efforts. Meanwhile Republicans voted down Fema funding just two weeks ago? Insanity. Don't believe me? Google it.

Season 2 of Shrinking comes out on Wednesday (Oct 16) on Apple TV+. I’m embarrassed to say, I still need to watch Season 1 😬 Everyone I know loves it and I’m a huge Jason Segel fan. Watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You Man every time they’re on. And Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent from Ted Lasso is the creator and writer of the show. And he’s “focking” brilliant, so i really have no excuse! Watch the Shrinking Season 2 trailer and Season 1.

Breaking news! Nobody Wants This was just renewed for Season two. Woohoo! Yay!
